About Giant Healthcare Corby
Giant Healthcare Corby is a children's care provider based in Corby, working across Northamptonshire. We provide outreach and home support for children, supported accommodation for young adults aged 18 and over, and support for people with learning disabilities and complex needs. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and run by MSPC Limited.

- CQC registered
- Locally owned and locally run
- Enhanced DBS and safer recruitment
- Two registered managers
- Based in Corby, covering Northamptonshire
Why we started
We started because too many young people from Northamptonshire were being supported a long way from the people who knew them. A placement two counties away means a new school, a lost friendship group and family contact that becomes a day travel. We believed the county needed more local capacity, run by people who live here.
So that is what we built. Not a national brand with a Corby branch, but a Corby organisation, small enough that the registered managers know every young person by name and every referral is read by someone who can actually say yes.

At a glance
- Two registered managers
- Primrose Murefu and Martha Takwa Senabulya, both registered with the Care Quality Commission, so leadership never rests on one person.
- One regulated activity
- Personal care. We are honest that we do not provide nursing or clinical treatment, and we work alongside the professionals who do.
- Based in Corby
- Office 18, Corby Business Centre, Eismann Way. The office you ring is the office that runs the support.
- Eight towns and their villages
- Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Northampton, Rushden, Desborough, Rothwell and Oundle.
What we do
We work with children, young people and young adults across four connected areas.
- Outreach and home support
- For children in their own family home and out in the community, including personal care, activities and school holiday support.
- Supported accommodation
- For young adults aged 18 and over who want their own place with the right support around it.
- Learning disability and autism support
- Delivered wherever the person lives.
- Complex needs support
- Provided alongside health professionals rather than in place of them.
How we work
- Consistency comes first
- Young people who have moved repeatedly do not need another new face. We build small teams and we keep them together.
- We start with the reason, not the incident
- Behaviour tells us something. Our job is to work out what, then change what is causing it.
- Plans are made with young people, not for them
- Their views are recorded, acted on and revisited. If a plan is not working for them, it is not working.
- Ordinary life is the point
- School, meals, hobbies, arguments about screen time. Routine and normality do more than any single intervention.
- We are honest about what we cannot do
- We are registered for personal care. We do not provide nursing or clinical care, and we say so at referral rather than after placement.
Our team
Giant Healthcare Corby has two registered managers, Primrose Murefu and Martha Takwa Senabulya. Primrose Murefu is also the nominated individual for the service.
Our support workers come from a range of backgrounds and many join with no previous care experience. What we look for is patience, reliability and the willingness to keep turning up for a young person who is testing whether adults do.
Every member of staff is recruited under safer recruitment procedures, holds an enhanced DBS check and completes mandatory training before working unsupervised. Training continues through supervision, reflective practice and formal qualifications.

Safeguarding and quality
Safeguarding is not a policy document we keep for inspections. It is the reason for our supervision structure, our recruitment process and our record keeping.
Every young person has a named worker and a plan that records risks and how we reduce them. Concerns are escalated to the designated safeguarding lead and to the local authority without delay. Staff are supervised regularly and can raise concerns without going through their line manager.
We audit our own practice, act on complaints and share our findings with commissioners who ask for them.
- Enhanced DBS, every role
- Checked before anyone starts, renewed on schedule, never waived for cover shifts.
- Safer recruitment
- Full history with gaps explained, references actually taken up, safeguarding asked about at interview.
- A named safeguarding lead
- Concerns reach a registered manager the same day, and the placing authority without delay.
- Supervision that happens
- Regular, recorded, and staff can raise concerns without going through their line manager.
Regulation
Giant Healthcare Corby is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide personal care, and is provided and run by MSPC Limited. Our CQC location ID is 1-5832866722.
Regulation of children's homes in England sits with Ofsted rather than the Care Quality Commission. We confirm our regulatory position for any residential service directly with referring authorities before a placement is agreed.
Our Statement of Purpose, policies and insurance details are available to commissioners and social workers on request.
Where we work
We are based at Corby Business Centre and work across Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Northampton, Rushden, Desborough, Rothwell and Oundle. We also consider referrals from neighbouring authorities where we can support the young person properly.
