Placements and referrals for local authorities

Criteria, process, contacts and availability. No persuasion writing, because you have not got time for it.

Who we accept

  • Children and young people with learning disabilities and autism
  • Physical disabilities and sensory impairments
  • Mental health needs
  • Children and young people aged 0 to 18 for outreach and home support
  • Young adults aged 18 and over for supported accommodation
  • Complex needs requiring one to one or two to one support

Who we do not accept

Stated plainly, because an honest exclusion saves you a wasted call.

  • Nursing or clinical care. We are registered for personal care, so tracheostomy, ventilation, PEG feeding and seizure management stay with the health professionals responsible for them
  • Administration of medication. Our support workers prompt and assist, they do not administer
  • Supported accommodation for anyone under 18, which is a separate Ofsted registered activity

Our regulatory position

We hold one regulated activity with the Care Quality Commission, personal care, covering homecare, supported living and supported housing. We do not provide nursing or clinical treatment, and our support workers prompt and assist with medication rather than administer it. Children's homes in England are registered with Ofsted rather than the Care Quality Commission, and our current Ofsted position is set out on request in writing.

Framework and contract status

We accept placements under framework arrangements, spot purchase and individual service agreements. Our terms, insurance and policies are available to commissioners on request, and we can complete provider onboarding paperwork quickly because the answers are already written down.

We accept referrals from Northamptonshire and from neighbouring authorities across the East Midlands. Distance is weighed case by case, because a placement that undoes the local argument we make on every other page needs a better reason than an empty bed.

Statement of Purpose and referral pack

Our Statement of Purpose, safeguarding policy, insurance certificates and a blank referral form are available to referrers on request. Email the referrals team and they arrive the same working day.

We send documents on request rather than leaving them on a public page, because a commissioner should always be reading the current version rather than whatever a search engine cached.

Named contacts

Referrals go to the registered managers directly, not through a general enquiry inbox.

Speak to the Corby office

You get the people who run the service, not a call centre. Ask for a registered manager.
